Bhaktapur Night

The 11th Bhaktapur Night will be organized on the 10th  November 2011 ( Kartik 24, 2068) at 5 pm at the Durbar Square premises. The program is free of cost for all domestic and international visitors. The international visitors will be welcomed at the durbar square gate and taken to the entire religious shrine to show them the grain art which people of Bhaktapur display as the thanksgiving to the goddess of abundance on this full moon day which is called Sakimania Punhi.

The opportunity will be given to the local restaurants to display different local food with live preparation of every item. And more than 11 cultural dances and traditional music representing the Bhaktapur district will be performed.

The Following activities include in this program;

 

  • Welcoming the visitors in traditional Newari way
  • Display of Newari food items for the international visitors

Samay Baji, Momo Wo, Chatamari, Newari, Aaila, Buff Sekuwa, etc.

  • Display the international food items for the domestic visitors
  • Cultural Program including Newari traditional classical dances and traditional music and other ethnic dances of Bhaktapur district.
